How do we celebrate?

Being true-blue, dinky-di Aussies means there is no dictated way to celebrate or recognise Australia Day. So what will (we/you) Australians being doing on our day-off?

Having a barbie; listening to the cricke;t mowing the lawn; chillaxing by the pool; sizzling some snags; being a galah; lazing on the beach; stuffing ourselves silly; wrap our laughing gear around a lamb sanger; downing some tinnies; playing with the kids; helping the missus; having a punt with the mates; baking some biccies; peeling a few prawns; wetting a line; kicking a footy…
We think the best thing about living in Australia is that we can ‘celebrate any bloody way we like!”

What does Australia Day mean and why celebrate?

Seriously though (just for a moment) – we do live in the lucky country and that we should be thankful for. Sure we can grumble (and often do). But compared to many other nations where even the most basic human rights are a struggle, we should recognise just how good we do have it.

Happy Australia Day for 2016!
